Su23a - Introductory Debate Program

Morning Session: 9 AM to 12 Noon - Monday through Friday
New England Academy's (NEA) Introductory Debate class follows the Middle School Public Debate Program, a national program, to guide students through the structure of modified parliamentary debate and the fundamentals of argumentation, refutation, and speaking with confidence.
This program includes multiple classes for students entering grades 4 through 8. As necessary, students will be grouped into classes by grade/ability.
No prerequisite is necessary.

Su23b - Intermediate Debate Program

Morning Session: 9 AM to 12 Noon - Monday through Friday
New England Academy's Debate class allows students to build on the fundamental skills acquired in an introductory debate program. This class improves student’s skills by giving them more experience in modified parliamentary debate. The class, intended for intermediate to advanced debate students, is ideal for students who have completed the introductory debate class or have debate and/or public speaking experience.
This class is offered as a PHYSICAL class.
Su23 - Debate Maintenance

Debate Maintenance: Wednesday, 3 PM to 5 PM from June 7 to August 9
This class provides a valuable opportunity for current NEA students to stay engaged with debate, refine their techniques, and further develop their critical thinking and public speaking skills. With weekly practice sessions, you'll continue to engage in thought-provoking debates, participate in constructive discussions, and collaborate with fellow debaters who share your passion.
